Prefilter Type VFA / VFB
To filter out the coarse particles from large air streams, it is best to use an appropriate prefilter screen. Its characteristics are:
- high air permeability
- exact adaptation to the material to be separated by using different mesh sizes

The LTG AEROB Prefilters Type VFA and VFB are static, self-cleaning screens with tangential air inlet at the top. They can be used within an air volume range of 5,000 - 50,000 m³/h (3,000 - 30,000 cfm). The robust design offers the highest degree of reliability and safety.
Type VFA is supplied without an enclosure, whereas Type VFB has its own housing.
Functional Description
The LTG AEROB Prefilters Type VFA and VFB basically consist of an upper and a lower housing section. The space in between is sealed off to the outside by a cylindrical filter screen. The air enters tangentially through the upper section of the housing. A rotating airflow carries the fibers to the bottom on the inside of the filter screen. Dust particles in the air stream exit through the filter screen from the inside to the outside at the bottom of the filter.
The separated particles are stripped off through a suction connection either continuously or intermittently. The LTG AEROB Prefilters VFA and VFB have no moving parts. Cleaning is done by using only the dynamic forces of the moving air.
