LTG AEROB AOM, AOS Oil Mist Separator

Oil mist separators with demister and storage technology

The LTG AEROB offers a custom range of filter types for metal machining such as drilling, milling, turning, honing, grinding, etc.

With the aforementioned processing, varying quantities of various cooling materials and lubricants are used, which in turn create varied spectra of drops.

These fluids blend together with the metals that are to be machined producing a multitude of implementation combinations. For this multitude of applications, LTG AEROB has developed a range of filters with demister technology, which are available with or without backwashing and so-called storage filters.

Functional Description

The flow passes through the filter cartridges vertically from the top to the bottom. The separated liquid droplets run down into the collection pan via drainage tubes.
The fill level in the collection pan is monitored and the fluids are re-circulated by means of a siphon.
All the filter cartridges can be replaced easily as a result of the large maintenance door. The clean gas exits at the top; it is possible to optionally install a filter element for suspended matter in front of the exit.

Advantages

• High separation performance
• Suitable for all spectra of drops
• Long service life
• Low maintenance costs
• Energy-efficient

Filter with demister technology

The single level demister filters are mainly used for coarser drop spectra. The level can be regenerated, i.e. used with backwashing, depending on the solid matter and the lubricant volume.

Filters with multi-level storage technology

The multi-level storage filters are used in a wide range of drops and are characterised by extremely high and constant separation yields. The special filter cartridges with inserted drainage elements provide a long service life, even with higher quantities of lubricants.

Quick clamping device

LTG AEROB oil mist separators work with a quick-clamping device on the filter cartridges; when used for multi-level tasks, a device is also used which ensures a safe seal. The maintenance expenses and replacement of the cassettes becomes simplified and minimised.

Safety

Precautions such as monitoring the extract air volume, avoiding sources of ignition, monitoring the temperature, having an earthing concept and using fill level sensors in the pan are used to avoid explosive atmospheres. If such an occurrence is not excluded, there is the possibility of also supplying pressure-resistant LTG AEROB filters with pressure-relief openings.
